Tricia Baratta, RIB(Ont), LCCI
Account Executive - Commercial Insurance, Gallagher

London & Area Chapter

I am so pleased to express my enthusiastic nomination for a seat on the CCI National Executive Board of Directors. It has been both a privilege and a joy to dedicate a significant portion of my professional career to the condominium community and I look forward to continuing this commitment throughout my career as an insurance broker.

Much like many others in the condominium world, my journey into the realm of condominiums began in an entirely unrelated field. After earning a diploma in landscape design and horticulture from Fanshawe College, fate smiled upon me as I found myself under the guidance of an exceptional condominium manager and friend. This invaluable mentorship ignited my passion for condominium management and led me to my first ever CCI event in 2008. Little did I know that it would become an organization that would soon weave itself into the fabric of my professional life.

After obtaining my RCM accreditation in 2014, I furthered my dedication to CCI by earning a seat on the board of directors of my local chapter, CCI London & Area. I’ve had the honour of proudly serving in this role since 2015.

Notably, my transition from condominium management to the insurance sector in 2017 found me at Gallagher, in a role that allowed me to leverage my unique perspective on condominium risks, benefiting both my clients and fostering relationships with condominium management professionals.

Over the years, I have taken on various roles with the CCI London & Area team, including Education Co-Chair, Vice president in 2022, and incoming President in 2023. My contributions to CCI reflect my dedication to enhancing our community’s knowledge and resources:

  • Organizing and speaking at seminars and webinars for various CCI chapters;
  • Serving as instructor for CCI London & Area’s Annual Directors Course; teaching the subject of insurance;
  • Regular participation in National Leader’s Forums, contributing to the larger CCI community and bringing back valuable knowledge to my local board and chapter;
  • Membership on the Ontario Education Committee, specifically focused on the development of the CCI Ontario Directors Certificate Program which is currently being utilized by chapters throughout the province;
  • Participation in the CCI Toronto Insurance Sub-Committee, contributing to the creation of a risk management tool tailored to Ontario condominiums;
  • Active involvement as a member of the CCI Windsor-Essex Board of Directors from 2020-2023;
  • Dedicated efforts to maintain the visibility and relevance of CCI, ensuring that our members continue to benefit from education, information, awareness and access to the amazing experts available to them.

Beyond my professional life, I am a proud mother of two incredible children and a devoted partner to my remarkable husband. These personal commitments have only deepened my understanding of the importance of community and collaboration. I am humbled by the possibility of contributing to the CCI National Executive Board of Directors, which would allow me to give back to the organization that has played an essential role in my professional life, and the opportunity to continue the amazing work of those before me.

Thank you for considering my nomination.

Sincerely, Tricia Baratta
