Teeing Off for a Cause: Highlights from the CCISA 2025 Golf Tournament
From the Fall 2025 issue of the CCI South Alberta CCI Review
On September 11, 2025, the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) South Alberta Chapter (SAC) hosted its annual Golf Tournament at Lakeside Golf Club in Chestermere. Condominium board members, property managers, industry professionals, and suppliers came together for a day of golf, networking, and giving back.
The weather couldn’t have been better—a sunny 24°C with a light breeze set the stage for a perfect day on the greens. Even golfers having an “off” round had no one to blame but themselves!
A huge thank you goes out to our players, volunteers, sponsors, and committee members, whose energy and dedication made the day a success. Our photographer captured plenty of smiles, swings, and moments of questionable form that made the day unforgettable.
Special guests included CCI National Vice President Tony Reed and SAC President Adrian Breitwieser, who opened the evening dinner by recognizing the community spirit, incredible sponsor support, and the fantastic turnout.
This year’s tournament was expertly chaired by Puneet Kumar (Connelly Management), whose months of planning ensured a smooth, fun-filled day. From organizing tee times and on-course contests to coordinating sponsorships and auction items, Puneet kept everything running like clockwork. A special shoutout also goes to the 2025 Golf Tournament Committee—Lindsay Boon (Abris Construction Calgary), Kai Hochhausen (Servpro Calgary), Sonja Larson-Barbash (Larlyn Property Management Ltd.), Dionne Levesque (SVR Lawyers LLP), Stephen Wightman (EXP Services), and Stephanie Whyte (McLeod Law LLP) —for their hard work and dedication.
For the second year in a row, the SAC Board and Golf Committee partnered with Food Banks Alberta. Through Mulligan sales, a 50/50 draw, and a spirited silent auction, we raised approximately $7,750 to help fight food insecurity across the province. Auctioneer Sherry Bignell (BFL Canada) kept the competition lively, and our generous golfers didn’t disappoint!
Thank you to everyone who donated prizes, purchased tickets, placed bids, or cheered on the players. Your support made a real difference for Albertans in need.
