CCI National Update
From the CCI Huronia Spring/Summer 2024 Condo Buzz Newsletter
CCI’s National Leaders Forum recently brought representative volunteers from all 17 chapters of CCI together in Halifax, Nova Scotia to share powerful ideas on how to enhance CCI’s commitment to education across the country. Education continues to be the key delivery objective for CCI nationally and at the Chapter level. Topics of concern for Condominiums across the country were discussed amongst delegates including the Fire Risks of Lithium Ion Batteries, capacity of the electrical grids across the country to support EV Vehicles, harassment and the challenges of aging buildings, and aging Unit Owners.
At the National Level, our Committees are committed to the development of CCI’s national voice and provision of membership benefits. Our volunteer Committees are focused on developing recommendations to National Executive with respect to resource development (please see the National Resource Centre for educational materials from across the country at your fingertips!), certification of experienced CCI Members (please see our list of LCCI recipients), connecting our Chapter Administrators to enhance member service, risk management associated with a national organization, government relations across the country, national events, cost effectiveness, and growth for our Members. CCI National remains committed to growing our educational program content for our Members. All Chapters are focused on growing membership to include even more Condominium Directors, Unit Owners, and Service Providers because knowledge is empowering for Boards, Unit Owners, and Service Providers. National has also committed to relaunching CondoStrength in all the chapters across the country. We will see that in the Fall of 2024. At an individual level, National has also worked with Rona+ to secure a national discount for members of CCI because every penny/nickel counts!
