Too often, we can be guilty of not searching out the wonders and beauty of our own country or even our own towns and cities. Mostly, life takes over our time. The following was shared from one who views the interesting things about our country and had opportunities to visit areas of interest. Certainly, when time and finances might be an obstacle, or the challenges that arise from longer trips, shorter day trips can be especially intriguing and pleasurable.

- Canada is home to the world's oldest known rock, the Acasta Gneiss, which is approximately 4.01 billion years old.
